1. What does Wind River mean?
The Wind River was named for the prevailing strong northwesterly wind currents that sweep its valley between the Shoshone and Wind River Mountain ranges. The Wind River holds sacred meaning to the local Native American population as it is home to the Sinks Canyon and petroglyphs can be found throughout. The wilderness provides many adventures for those who seek the great outdoors.
What is the largest vehicle length you can accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 70’ in total length and have a secured dry storage area to store any additional vehicle(s) or boat(s), if necessary.
3. Do you provide discounts?
Yes!!!! We offer discounts for Good Sam and AAA that receive a 10% Discount. Active Military/Veterans, Police and First Responders receive a 15% Discount. Proof of eligibility is required. Long-term stay (30 days or more) also received a discounted rent and are not taxed by the State of Wyoming. Call us for more information.
4. Why do you charge for laundromat and showers?
We want to provide exceptional amenities and keep our RV rental prices affordable. There is a cost to us for these services which includes electricity, water, gas (hot water), cleaning and maintenance. While many other RV sites increase their RV site rental cost to cover such overhead expenses, we prefer to not penalize those RV owners who may have washers, dryers and showers already in their RV vehicles or for those individuals who just like to “rough it”!
5. Where can I get change for the laundromat and showers?
A change machine is located in the laundromat and you can also ask the front desk for change. PLEASE remember to get quarters before you undress in the showers! I too would be upset (at myself) if I was naked and forgot the quarters. In the words of Homer Simpson…”DOH!!!!!”
6. How much do you charge for the laundromat?
Top Load Washers: $2.00.
Front Load washer: $4.00.
Dryers:$0.50 for 10 minutes.
Laundry Detergent: $1.25.
Fabric Softener: $1.00
Bleach: $1.00
7. How much do you charge for showers?
5 minutes: $0.50
7 ½ minutes: $0.75
10 minutes: $1.00
12 ½ minutes: $1.50
8. Can I wash my pet in the showers?
No. The showers are intended for human bathing and for cleanliness, sanitary concerns and respect for other guests, please do NOT wash your pet in the showers. Yes, we know some guests believe their pet is a human, but come on!
9. Do you provide free wi-fi?
We are happy to announce that we have upgraded our wi-fi throughout the park for our guests. Yes, it is absolutely 100% free and is accessible in all 60 sites.
10. What sets Wind River RV Park apart from other RV sites?
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, we are under new management, we provide amenities not found in other locations and we have the ability to handle any size from tent camping to 5th wheel RV rigs (up to 70’)! We welcome everyone and can handle what others cannot! We got you!
